Schedule a Breast MRI for Your
Patient

General Information
To
schedule a patient for a breast MRI exam simply call 479-442-6266
or 866-718-6266 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through
Friday. When
you call, we’ll ask for the following information:
- Patient’s
name, date of birth, home and work phone numbers
- Diagnosis
and indications for breast MRI
- Are any recent mammograms and/or
ultrasound films and reports available?
- Schedule breast MRI
between days 7 and 14 of the menstrual cycle
- Pre-certification of insurance is required prior to performing
the MRI
If the patient
has a written order from her physician, she may schedule
her own exam by calling directly at the number
above during the hours indicated. You can fax written orders in
advance to 479-521-3877.
Patient Questions & Information
To
help your patient understand what to expect during her breast
MRI exam, please give her a copy of our
patient information brochure
entitled, Your
Breast MRI Exam at The Breast Center of Northwest
Arkansas and make certain she meets metal
criteria.
If she schedules her own exam, when she calls
we will ask her about her medical history. We’ll
also explain the procedure and answer any questions
she may have. Payment
The Breast Center of NWA is a fee for service medical
practice. Issues concerning health insurance
are between the patient
and her carrier. Pre-certification of insurance is required prior
to performing the MRI.
